The unCommission is especially interested in hearing from Black, Latinx and Native American communities.Note: 13-17 year olds MUST get parental consent before submitting a story. A parent/guardian can register and send you a link to complete your story, or you will be prompted to complete this process once you have logged on to the platform.

Resources for storytelling
Here is a prompt that can help you father your thoughts for a story: Describe an experience you had in science, math, engineering and/or technology, inside or outside the classroom, from pre-K to 12th grade. How did you feel in that experience, and what made you feel that way? Check out these stories to get an idea of sharing process. Watch a video of the storytelling guidebook slide deck.

Become a Community Lead
Perhaps you are someone who knows and can bridge The unCommission with potential storytellers ages 13-29. Consider joining the project as a Community Lead and co-create the future of STEM education.Email uncommission(at)100Kin10.org... and tell them Leah Marché sent you.
Note: Your story can be public, public and anonymous, or private.
Why should you participate and tell your story?
Storytelling is powerful for young people's voices to be heard and amplified. By sharing your experiences, you will make a real contribution to national efforts to improve STEM learning for young people in your communities and across the country. The unCommission wants to hear from, learn from and uplift your lived experience in science, math and/or technology.

The unCommission is coordinated by 100Kin10, which began in 2011 with 28 organizations banding together and making public commitments to respond to President Obama's call for 100,000 new, excellent STEM teachers in 10 years. Now more than 300 partners strong, 100Kin10 united the nation’s top academic institutions, nonprofits, foundations, companies, and government agencies to address the nation’s STEM teacher shortage. The project is proud to be poised to meet and likely exceed this goal and look forward to taking up one of the unCommission's goals as the next moonshot. By giving young people the STEM teachers they need, the next generation of innovators and problem solvers can be unleashed.
Note: Your story can be public, public and anonymous, or private.
